Ashley DeWick

Welcome, Reader

I’m Ashley DeWick. I grew up in a homeschooling Navy family, where we moved at least once a year until I was in middle grade, and then I graduated high school during the crazy chaos of Covid. These experiences have given me a passion for pointing people to hope and to the constants they can cling to—and the best way I can do that is through my stories. I write middle grade fiction to show courageous young readers that wonder still whirls in an out-of-whack world (even after you’re all grown up).

When I’m not agonizing over character names or helping nonprofits navigate the constantly shifting seas of social media, you can find me adventuring with my husband, fangirling about dragons, or squeaking like a dolphin over the newest tiny thing I found.

Check out my books below, and see how I can help your family find hope (and maybe dragons) amidst hardship!
